BKP Meet Black Stone Cherry
We were really lucky this weekend to be able to see Black Stone Cherry perform in Bristol's Colston Hall. Not only were we able to watch the band, the guys made a special effort to look after us before and after the show, which was great! The story started when Chris Robertson, singer and guitarist from Black Stone Cherry, contacted me asking to buy some pickups. He wanted a Mule bridge with a Nantucket HSP90 neck for his PRS, and he also ordered two Blue Note 90 dog ear P90s for some Juniors he's building. Last of all he ordered a '63 Veneer Board set for his Strat. We got chatting, and Chris mentioned the boys were playing Bristol in December, so we organised getting the BKP boys up there to meet the band.
"One of the best gigs I've been to"
Black Stone Cherry were so friendly and welcoming, and made sure we were looked after every step of the way. Sales Manager Ben said it was "one of the best gigs I've been to in a very long time", and the general consensus was that not only are Black Stone Cherry really sound guys, they make awesome music. The band played an acoustic set as their own support, so there was no break for them all evening and they still had time for photos and chats.
